MAKE SURE YOU ARE A

SHARPSHOOTER

FOTO FOCUS! Aim to ensure all your pictures are tack sharp in the right place. With cameras getting smaller they are getting more difficult to hold, always ensure you have a comfortable 2 hand grip. Don’t hold your breath, breathe slowly if you must and press the shutter at the end of an exhalation. Many camera viewfinders have an adjustor to compensate for your vision, focus the viewfinder. Use the auto focus function on the camera, most professionals do. You can improve your chances of ensuring focus by choosing an aperture that gives you the optimum depth of field or focus. Go hyper, on manual focus set the hyperfocal distance, which is the focus point where everything from half that distance to infinity is in focus. There are a few good apps for this out there. Your aperture settings must still allow you to have the best shutter speed for the image you are planning. A rule of thumb is ensure the shutter is set higher than the focal length of the lens being used. Items of equipment to invest in are, tripods, monopods, bean bags, or string pods. Happy hunting.
