By Marianne Alberts After lengthy discussions with the Livingstone Tourism Academy in Cape Town, they agreed to conduct a course for 13 participants at the Eden Country Lodge in Klein Brak River from 24-29 July 2017. Apart from private participants, Mossel Bay Tourism also co-opted two employees to attend the training. The Culture Tourist Guide L4 is accredited with CATHSSETA and requires the successful completion of a comprehensive Portfolio of Evidence, a written and oral exam. Once registered with the Tourism Board, these participants will be fully qualified to render a cultural tour guiding service in the Garden Route. The Garden Route, with its natural beauty, archaeological and historic sites, has a lot to offer our local and international market. The group was fortunate to have been trained by one of the best Tourism Training Academy’s in South Africa. For more information contact Jacques Nell at jaques@livingstonetourismacademy.co.za.
